Get to know Chris Chapman

I love presenting because it allows me to focus to listening to plenty of new, wonderful local music. Then overlay that with whatever random tracks that come to mind from around the world.

Outside of the station I spend my time hiking, being educated by lots of modern things by my daughters (and also being advised by them on presenter profile photos), with a sprinkling of work

I first heard RTR FM when I arrived in Australia and stumbled across Soulsides, which kept me entertained when getting out on a Friday night was beyond my means

How did you become involved in the station?

I saw the presenters course advertised and thought I’d give it a crack – I always liked the station, the content and the good work it does in the community

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

Doves, Other Stage Glastonbury, 2003 – they clearly were reveling in the moment and that was pretty much my last act before leaving the country
