About

Get to know Danae

I’ve been hanging around RTRFM since the early 1990s. I did my first radio with James Eade and Bobby Fletcher and have barely stopped since. I’m fortunate to have spent much of my adult life working in and around community radio. I teach TAFE students and dig family time when I’m not at the station.

How did you become involved in the station?

My first connection was then RTRFM station manager, the legendary Kath Letch. I hung out while she presented Drastic on Plastic and I never really left.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

Fremantle Passenger Terminal: Yothu Yindi around the time of Nelson Mandela’s release from prison. Electric.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Don’t be silly – that’s impossible
