I am English by birth from Grimsby Lincolnshire. Grew up with Punk rock and Goth Music and then Indie Music. My informative years were late 70’s and the 80’s. Particularly remember the Triffids album covers and wondering where that is??….DJed at Goth clubs in England and made the grade at RTR three years ago on the graveyard shifts… Now present Rock Rattle and Roll and Burn the Airwaves…
How did you become involved?
John Peel….I know lots of irrelevant music facts and lots of important music facts. I know that most songs mean something to someone. Even Taylor Swift!! Never really spent any time without music being close to me. Cannot play an instrument but make mix tapes until the cow’s come home.
If stuck on Mars, what five albums could you not go without?

- Bauhaus – Mask
- Nick Cave – Murder Ballads
- Streets – A grand don’t come for free
What is the best thing about being involved with the station?
The fact that even though you know you are playing music for someone…. You don’t know who they really are…They may be people who sing along to a chorus… Someone who thinks..”I will google that track tomorrow” or someone who emails to ask for more information….Or someone who is driving and thinks “No thankyou!”
What is the strangest thing that has happened to you in the RTRFM studio?
Middle of the night situations. Such as someone who called at 430am to say thanks for playing that track, ,..it was recorded by my nephew!
If you could present a show that is not your own, which show would it be? Why?
It would always contain a Spiritualized track. Reason? Just listen to Amazing Grace or A and E..
What do you do in real life?
I have the heavy and rewarding responsibility of educating the young and impressionable of our society…
