About

Get to know Diger

My music is played on RTRFM. I use my voice via Ash Digs; I use beats, samples and instruments via Diger Rokwell; I create WA theme apparel via WA Apparel, and I love deejaying around Boorloo. Outside of the station, I am an educator and educational manager. I first heard the station by accident when I was 8 years old scanning the radio waves, I think it was Death Metal and it scared the shit of me. And then I religiously listened to Full Frequency during the early 90s, and it was inspiring. I love presenting on RTR as it is a beautiful form of artistic expression, and an alternative voice is so important in our media time. It still a privilege and I love experimenting with radio via Golden of Apples of the Sun, and exploring the conceptual realms and it is all connected. Go Footy is lots of fun, as we do not take ourselves or football too seriously. RTRFM is a lovely collective of like mind artistic souls.

How did you become involved in the station?

I have been listening since I was a kid, and first presented with Down Under Ground, an Australian Hip Hop and Electronica focused show (RIP) with Mathas.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

Seeing my favourite band, Dubwar, at the Planet in North Perth with Beaverloop in support with like 15 people there.
