Get to know Emma

My deepest form of sincere love language is putting together a carefully compiled mixed tape so radio always felt like an inevitable place to end up.

There is a magic and mystery to threading together incredible sounds and sharing them live with an audience you might never meet but whom you hope has been warmly impacted by something that’s also resonated with you. It’s a challenge and a thrill to see if you can reach for the right piece of music to deliver at the exact, right moment in time to connect with those around you.

How did you become involved?

Took the presenters training course in 2019 and honed my presenting chops as part of the Snooze Button collective before finding my home on Drivetime.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Wednesday Full Frequency, Posted and Giant Steps.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

Three come to mind: Kae Tempest holding such compassionate and moving presence at the Rechabite, Danny Orlowski from Deli Girls screaming in front of my face in a crowded mosh at the Bird during ‘Officer’ and my own project Seiche’s EP launch in a CBD warehouse supported by so many loved ones and incredible local acts.
