About

Get to know J.O.E.

Earlier this year, I completed the RTRFM presenter course. My curiosity about expanding my passion for music and the arts led me to this opportunity. During my student days in Mt Lawley, I first encountered RTR FM, with its unmistakable logo.

Serving as an RTRFM presenter has been immensely rewarding. It has allowed me to delve into and expand my musical palate and to learn from seasoned presenters. Additionally, I’ve had the chance to co-present with someone who also completed the RTRFM presenter course.

Beyond the station, I serve as the Chair of a non-profit organisation, the Australia Zambia Business Council. I travel whenever possible, am an avid supporter of Arsenal Football Club, and cherish the time spent with friends and family.

How did you become involved in the station?

I completed the RTRFM presenter course earlier this year.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

Perth International Arts festival 2024; over three nights, I watched Sampa the Great concert at Supreme Court Gardens, W.I.T.C.H from my home country Zambia at Rechabite and the legendary Angelique Kidjo at the Perth Concert Hall. Legendary Hip-hop, Zamrock and Afrobeat performances in genres that are in my top 5!
