Jim Petherwick

I emigrated to Perth from Bristol in the UK, where I was resident DJ for a club night bringing the more leftfield artists in the house and techno scene to the city.

Alongside collecting and playing electronic music, I’ve always been interested in the machines used to make the music.

Buying old equipment led to me learning how to repair and modify these instruments, and when that wasn’t enough I taught myself how to design PCBs and write code to make devices do what I wanted, so I’m quite far down the rabbit hole of machine music!
