Get to know Kendall

Long time listener, first time presenter! I absolutely love presenting with RTR! There is a real sense of community at RTR that made me feel welcome from the very beginning. For me though being AFAB and queer I really love that showcasing music from my community is not only supported but encouraged! Outside of presenting, I am a Sexologist that works exclusively with the LGBTQIA+/FLINTA community providing therapy in the areas of sex, relationships and pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).

How did you become involved in the station?

By total accident! I had wanted to do the RTR radio training (recommend++) for many years but didn’t realise it could lead to me actually hosting shows – but it seems I was wrong and here we are! I’ve have a few shows under my belt with more exciting things to come – stay tuned, lovers!

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

Ohhhhh, that’s tricky, I have two! A Glenn Miller tribute orchestra playing at Perth Concert Hall where when Moonlight Serenade began I openly wept or more recently at Melbourne Recital Hall for Joep Beving when my lover asked me to be their girlfriend (spoiler alert I said yes).

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Ohhhh for talks I love ‘Moorditj Mag’ and ‘All Things Queer’ and for tunes I love ‘Rock Rattle & Roll’ and ‘Full Frequency’
