About

Get to know Lachy Tan

I first heard RTRFM in my early teens and remembering being extremely excited to find a station that played music I loved and showing me music that would became some of my favourite.

I love presenting because it allows for different voices, stories and ideas to be heard that usually don’t get major airplay. The excitement to present and share music is one I’m always eager to do.

Outside of RTRFM, I am a Support Worker/Carer and also play in bands, such as Buckland, Brushtail & Tom Brown.

How did you become involved in the station?

I first became involved with RTRFM about 2 and a half years ago, by volunteering in the office.. helping with admin, editing and story writing.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

There are two that come to mind
1. 30/70 Collectives performance at Mojos, with support from Demon Days, Butter & Izatang

2. Weyes Blood at Melbourne Recital Centre. Possibly the most enchanted I’ve ever felt at a show. The nervousness hugging the audience as one of us had to be the first to break the silence and clap is something unforgettable.
