I’m a Perth boy through n’ through. I love the beats and the beaches.

About

Get to know Lochie C

I’ve been all about music since a very young age, picture a little tacker rocking along to hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s in a bouncinette!

I was fortunate enough to also be exposed to world music from a very young age which opened me up to a variety of sound alternatives.

To be able to present on RTR is an absolute privilege and delight.

I love presenting on RTR because you have to power to showcase the artists you love who might otherwise might miss out on the attention they deserve. I love the hands on approach of presenting and the opportunity to work along side a dedicated and like minded team of staff and volunteers at the station.

I am an Environmental Consultant by profession, I wrangle snakes and jump out of helicopters (safely of course)! Outside of work you will often find me at the beach, gigs or out and about with my mates.

I think I first started listening to RTR while I was at Uni, I was immediately intrigued by the new sounds I was hearing.

How did you become involved in the station?

I wanted to learn about how radio worked and have a go at presenting, so I enrolled for the RTR presenter training course and was fortunate enough to be trained by the amazing Rhian Todhunter!

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

This is a very difficult question to answer! Even though I wouldn’t consider my self a dire hard fan, I think I would have to say seeing Green Day play the Dookie Album in its entirety for the 20th anniversary of its release at Soundwave in 2014! I would also say seeing Tame Impala in 2022 was well worth the wait, I had high expectations and KP and his mates certainly delivered.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?
