My passion for music (and CDs, bring back physical media!) continues to this day, except now I get to broadcast the tunes I’m loving to RTR’s beautiful listeners!
Get to know Madeleine Mitchell
Raised by a mother with a love of jazz and a father with a passion for Pink Floyd, my music taste has been eclectic from birth! While I did have high-hopes of becoming a musician as a child (Kylie Minogue was the blueprint), my several ill-fated attempts at learning an assortment of instruments were unsuccessful. I committed myself instead to dredging up obscure music tracks, and coupled with my inability to stop talking, radio seemed a natural fit!
When I’m not at the station, I’m helping manage a retail store. In my (scarce) spare time, you can find me out and about at local gigs and galleries, or on the hunt for Boorloo’s best almond croissant.
