Get to know Millie Williams

I am a musician, currently working on my own project Mopsy. In university I studied Anthropology & Sociology, and Communications & Media. I am driven to share and contribute to Boorloo’s strong and vibrant arts scene in every way I can!

How did you become involved in the station?

When I finished my degree, I wanted to find a way to continue researching and doing meaningful work within my community. I did the presenter course, and within a month of finishing I was presenting Up Late and assistant producing for On The Record and Artbeat!

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

It has to be the RTRFM On the Rise gig back in October 2021. My old band, Sofa, headlined and it was my favourite show we did together. Never felt like such a rockstar. It was a full-circle moment to be at the top of a bill packed with all of my favourite local artists we had met throughout our time gigging.
