Get to know Orana

A love of making terrible cd playlists when I was younger has turned into a love of going to gigs and chatting about music, movies and shows.
I mostly like folk, indie, pop and rock. I dabble a little in music myself, but thoroughly enjoy finding songs that make me want to cry and forcing others to listen to them too.

I first heard of the station when I mentioned to a friend my interest in radio presenting but not knowing where to start. They suggested I check out RTRFM.

How did you become involved in the station?

In 2023 I saw upcoming dates for the RTRFM training course and the time felt right.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

Probably my first all ages festival – Hyperfest at Midland Railway Workshops. 14 year old me was excited to see Papa Vs Pretty and Architecture In Helsinki.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Breakfast with a dash of New Music and Movie Squad.
