I grew up in London listening to some of the finest soul and hiphop from the 70’s and 80’s and am blessed with a healthy regard for most kinds of music. I DJ tunes from lounge, jazz, latin, hiphop, broken beat, house and soul/soulfunk genres.
I have just started a new event night called Soulnation which plays the best soul and jazz funk music from the 70’s 80’s and 90’s.
I was invited by a previous presenter Patrick Nadoll as a guest on the Black and Blue show. Patrick was leaving for Germany so he introduced me to the Chris Wright who gave me the opportunity to join the team.
Having the freedom and creative input to how your show airs is incredible. It means I can play a variety of music and there’s no scripted playlist, wonderful!
The Hiphop Show, because Hiphop is what I grew up on. Global Rhythm Pot, Giant Steps, Soulsides, Golden Apples of The Sun, El Ritmo and Jamdown Vershun because they all reflect the genres of music that I dig.
