On Air : Listen

I’m very passionate and sometimes considered overly precious about music from certain genres. Music, I believe is an important aspect of life which should be enjoyed daily by everyone, everywhere, yeah!

How did you become involved in the station?

Years ago I discovered these odd yet fascinating sounds coming out of the 92.1 region on the FM dial and decided I should listen more. Recently I have been involved with the station from a sponsorship perspective before gaining enough courage to speak into the microphone.

If stuck on Mars, what five albums could you not go without?

  • ISIS – Oceanic
  • Radiohead – OK Computer
  • Rollins Band – The End of Silence
  • Kyuss – Blues for the Red Hot Sun
  • Tool – Lateralus

What is the best thing about being involved in the station?

Having unrestricted poetic licence to play and showcase musical talent from across the globe. It is also exciting to be involved with local artists who are passionate about their craft. The sense of community at the station from like-minded humans is another rewarding aspect.

What is the strangest thing that has happened to you at RTRFM?

Having an off air conversation with Pig.

If you could present a show other than your own, which would it be and why?

Drive time, because driving home is one of the best parts of my day and Perth traffic is made much more tolerable with great tunes.

What do you do in real life?

Drive my wife crazy!
