Get to know Tony

I am always on the look out for creative pursuits to challenge myself and search for the sense of awe I get from creating ‘art’ that connects with other great people. I have been curating a storytelling podcast (Max’s Island) for many years and this experience has given me the inspiration to become an announcer on RTRFM. It’s another way I can communicate with people and be inspired by music created by others. I’m a long time listener to RTRFM and even remember the old days as 6UVS when I was at UWA in the 70’s.

How did you become involved in the station?

I have been a long time listener and did the announcers course in 2024.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

INXS – UWA refectory in about 1979.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Golden Apples of the Sun.
