Get to know Wetpuddlss

I fell into presenting and DJing from a pretty stereotypical pipeline of obsessive music digger to then curating playlists to eventually learning how to mix 🙂 I love presenting because I love to share music! It’s gotta be one of my favourite ways to communicate with people; sharing each others sounds!!

Outside of the station I work as a gardener and zigzag around town. Sometimes I make art.

I started listening to rtr when I was at uni. Rok Riley was actually my printmaking tutor and i started tuning into Friday full frequency religiously, especially when I was in the curtin studios. I then kinda just fell in love with the overarching community that is rtrfm. It’s really is one of the hearts of Boorloo!

How did you become involved in the station?

I did the presenter course kind of around the same time I started learning to dj and the 2 kinda just fell into place!

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

I’ve got a couple that come to mind. Recently seeing sully at Si Paradiso basement was absolutely jaw dropping. Also seeing Kraftwerk was pretty insane (also was so cute they all did like a little synth solo at the end). But the most memorable for me and my love of dance music was 100% Marcellus Pitman and DJ Stingray. Both on completely opposite poles of the spectrum but both moved and worked a crowd with absolute joy.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Probably a tie between full frequency and golden apples of the sun
