Independent radio station RTRFM is preparing for its annual subscription drive, Radiothon. RTRFM will be calling on their loyal listeners from Boorloo and beyond to listen, subscribe and donate, to help keep the station on the airwaves for many years to come.
Now in its 47th year, RTRFM is SENDING OUT A SIGNAL and asking the wider community to send back their signal by subscribing or donating to RTRFM. Subscriptions and donations can be made at rtrfm.com.au.
The funds raised through subscriptions and donations play a vital role in covering essential expenses for RTRFM, such as licensing fees, presenter training fees, equipment and staffing costs that enable the station to continue broadcasting. During Radiothon, the funds raised are especially instrumental in supporting RTRFM’s renowned live music events, including the long-standing In the Pines event held at Somerville Auditorium and the Fremantle Winter Music Party. Gold Subscribers of the station enjoy the benefit of free entry to these events.

Radiothon is a massive highlight in the RTRFM calendar and brings together the wider community to celebrate local music, arts and culture. Both on and off air, Radiothon will feature special guests, huge giveaways and ultimately, incredible community spirit. Proceedings will be kicking off at 6am on Friday 16 August from The Bird with a live edition of Breakfast with Pam featuring DJ power group Sealed Section bringing the tunes to get you moving!
Then on Saturday 17 August we’ll be taking over all three levels of The Rechabite in Northbridge for RTRFM’s annual Radiothon Party (tickets available via rtrfm.oztix.com.au). Catch some of Boorloo’s best acts including Myriad Sun, Sarco, Bribes, RATSALAD as well as CLUB V/A (Midnight Elevator, Terminal, Mutual Affection and Hyde Park Hi-Fi) taking over the Goodwill Basement for a massive dance party! Up on the rooftop we’ll be celebrating 10 Years of Cloud Waves, RTRFM’s modern rap and R&B show with sets from Aslan, Nafta, Cee, Bl66ke and Hyclass.
Post Radiothon Party there’s no need to stop! Make sure you stick with us and tune into your favourite shows! There’ll be special guests and huge prizes to win.
