2023 John Stringer Prize Winner, Stewart Scambler

The 2023 John Stringer Prize was announced last night, with artist Stewart Scambler awarded the overall prize.

The John Stringer Prize is an annual, non acquisitive prize for Western Austrain contemporary artist, initiated and run by The Collectors Club of the John Curtin Gallery.

Stewart Scambler is one of WA’s most prolific and respected ceramic artists. Since 1992, he and his wife have produced both fine art sculptures and useable domestic wares at their studio in Palmyra, Western Australia.
