480 million-year-old fossil spores from WA

A recent discovery in WA’s Canning Basin has unearthed a 480 million year old fossil containing spores from early land based plants that were found alongside spores from ancestral water-dwelling algae.

On The Record producer Will Yagmich spoke with paleontologist, Dr. Daniel Peyrot from UWA’s School of Earth Sciences about this new discovery.
