80 Years of Children’s Book Week

Right now it is Children’s Book Week, a national week that celebrates books and authors and encourages children to enjoy reading, writing and making stories. This year’s theme is ‘Book an adventure’ and it definitely has been an adventure as Children’s Book Week celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.
That’s 80 years of books, costumes and inspiring the next generation of readers and authors.

Joining us to chat about Children’s Book Week and all of the celebrations that are taking place this Saturday, is WA President of the Children’s Book Council of Australia Kris Williams, who joins On the Record’s Fiona Bartholomaeus to further discuss Children’s Book Week.
