Acopia dive into intimate nostalgia with their latest single Work It Out

Acopia is the collaborative project of Kate Durman, Lachlan McGeehan, and Morgan Wright; an intimate excursion of ultra-emotive dream pop.

Following the release of their 2022 debut record Chances the trio toured the east coast of Australia and have started releasing new music — the latest is their stripped-back, downtempo single Work It Out.

<a href="https://acopia.bandcamp.com/track/work-it-out">Work It Out by Acopia</a>Composed over the course of the Chances album tour while improvising during soundcheck, Work It Out worked its way into the band’s Sydney and Brisbane performances and was then refined during the summer months with synths slowly warping in and out of time.

RTRFM’s Jxnior joins Kate and Lachlan to chat about the band’s formation, creative processes, the new single and more.
