Australia Talks – Pets v People

Earlier this year the ABC released some of the findings from the Australia Talks Survey for 2021.

One of the results that were found was that 1/3 of Australians prefer pets over people, and 37% of women are more likely to agree to this sentiment.

Laura Greaves, author and self-proclaimed crazy dog lady spoke to Fiona Bartholomaeus about these results, why this might be, how pet ownership has changed over the years, and how else the pandemic has further impacted pet ownership.
