Australia’s longest running women’s club, The Karrakatta Club, opens its doors for Heritage Festival

If we go back in time 129 years we can mark the start of the longest-running club for women in Australia.

The Karrakatta Club first opened its doors inviting women to discuss social issues and advocate for themselves.

As part of the Boorloo Heritage Festival, the club is opening its doors and welcoming the public in to find out about the history and continuing legacy.

Former Karrakatta Club President Lesley Williams was on Breakfast with Taylah to tell us more.
