‘Balance’ Event Set To Be Hosted At YMCA HQ

As part of Mental Health Week 2021, The Arts and Mental Health Network will be presenting an art and music event called “Balance” at the YMCA Headquarters in Leederville.

The event, which has been curated through the collaboration of a wide range of public mental health services, will exhibit over 140 artworks for sale and live music performances that will showcase the talents and the courage of the people who access these services.

On The Record presenter Madeleine Lombardi is joined in the studio with Shane Thomas from Youth Axis and Ari and Georgia from the Youth Reference Group.

Together they discuss what the curation and planning of this event been like and how the collaboration with a wide range of mental health organisations has panned out, including the holistic importance of events that promote mental health awareness, supporting people in the process who use public mental health services.
