Blast from the past: Lost recordings from The Blast Off Girls shine in 2021

There’s something magical about lost recordings finally seeing the light of day in 2021, direct from a 2007 band who were really into the garage sounds of the 1960s.

The Blast Off Girls may have only been active for 12 short months, but in that time they managed to carve out a spot for themselves in the local music scene, play gigs most weekends and record an EP too.

Karen Hive, aka K.Sputnik, joined Breakfast with Taylah to celebrate the release of the trios self-titled EP, lost in 2007 but finally found again in 2021.
