Bookclub with Danielle Raffaele

Danielle Raffaele and Pam Boland reunite in the studio for Bookclub and they have lots to catch up on, including the devastating disbandment of Australia’s second oldest literary journal Meanjin.

Then, they get stuck into today’s Bookclub pick Scaffolding by Lauren Elkin, a story which follows two couples across different decades in the same Parisian apartment.

The couples, though living parallel, lives grapple with desire, marriage and fidelity with their ghosts bumping into and weaving around each other, not knowing they all once inhabited the same space.
