After years of dismissing her so-called monthly ‘turns’, author Laura Elizabeth Woollett was diagnosed with premenstrual dysphoric disorder.

Through case studies, interviews, extensive medical research and forays into history, true crime and algorithmic rabbit holes, her debut non-fiction Hell Days investigates the hell days of chronic illness.

Danielle Raffaele spoke with Laura following the release of Hell Days and they started by talking about her pivot from fiction to non-fiction and the catalyst for writing the book.
