Boorloo Heritage Festival uncovers story of first Chinese Western Australian

We know Western Australia now as a cultural melting pot, but what about when people from far off lands started calling W.A their home?

As part of the Boorloo Heritage Festival, you’ve got the opportunity to learn about the life, legacy and impact of Moon Chow, the first Chinese person to call Perth home.

University of Western Australia Professor Benjamin Smith and Dr Yu Tao have been piecing together Moon’s story, including his interesting last legacy around town.

Ben was on Breakfast with Taylah this morning to give us a sneak peek.
