Closing the Gap with Janinne Gliddon

Close the Gap Day is an important day in Australia’s calendar, marking federal and state government commitment to social and health equity of First Nations peoples.

A lot has happened since its inception, including major reform of policy which stresses deeper engagement and support for community based services, particularly in remote areas.

Helping shape these services are health practitioners such as WA Country Health Service Regional Health consultant, Janinne Gliddon.

She joined Taylah Strano on Breakfast for a special Closing the Gap Day edition to discuss culturally safe health spaces including secure birth places for first nations women.
