Come Back Anytime doco highlights four-decade old ramen shop

How often do you think about ramen? When was the last time you indulged in a bowl of brothy goodness?

For American filmmaker John Daschbach it was at his regular ramen stop where he struck inspiration.

His latest work, a culinary documentary, is Come Back Anytime, a year-long observation of Bizentei ramen restaurant and the curious owner Masamoto Ueda and his wife Kazuko.

Throughout the film we learn about Masamoto’s wholesome approach to life and the unique relationship and community he’s forged with his customers.

John sat down with Breakfast with Taylah to tell us more.
