Daniel Susnjar drops by Brekky

Taylah welcomed World renowned jazz musician and composer Daniel Susnjar to breakfast to discuss his compositional process and up and coming local projects and live shows. Daniel explained that he loves coming home and working with local musicians and praised the quality and depth of talent in WA.

Always striving for new directions he talked about working with students as a facilitator sharing his experiences and his excitement at the challenges of working with a 15 voice choir and a soon to appear collaboration between the WAPA Jazz ensemble and the Afro Peruvian Ensemble.

Taylah was surprised to learn that some of the most fertile moments for writing came while Daniel is doing the washing up. He went on to explain his process of writing to producing a finished work in its many forms.

Daniel Susnjar will be appearing at the Ellington Jazz club on 6th October.
