Deadly Jobs Expo to connect Aboriginal jobseekers with opportunities

On Friday 22 August, the Deadly Jobs Expo will be held at TAFE’s East Perth Campus, aiming to connect Aboriginal jobseekers with education, training, and employment opportunities.

One such business that will be attending the event is Kaarli, an Aboriginal-owned clothing business founded in 2022.

Kaarli’s owner and co-founder, Yawuru and Karrajarri man Sam Edgar went On The Record with Beth Mackiewicz to discuss Kaarli, its collaboration model which allows Indigenous artists to profit continuously from their work, and what Kaarli is hoping to provide at the Deadly Jobs Expo.
