FORM has an exciting paid opportunity for a WA sound creative to undertake a fantastic creative project, and we’re trying to get the word out.

FORM is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Western Australian creative producer – a sound artist/designer or creative production team – to work alongside us and the Albany community, to lead the concept development, engagement and production of Albany Is.

Albany Is, which is part of Balgang Albany presented by FORM as part of the Albany 2026 Major Event Program, will be a soundscape of the voices, songs and sounds of Albany and its surroundings. 

Menang Noongar songs and Creation Stories, Kongal–boyal dialect, other languages, sea shanties, ocean, bird calls, wind in trees, marching army boots, and more, all tell the stories of what Albany is.
