About one in six older Australians experience elder abuse.

It might be social, physical or sexual abuse.  It could be financial exploitation or neglect and often those older folks are not getting the help they need.

Dr Catriona Stevens is a Forrest Prospect Fellow in Sociology and Anthropology at Edith Cowan University she joined us On the Record to talk about the key reasons older people experiencing harm do not receive the support they so desperately need.
