Employment Opportunities for People with Disabilities

The widening employment gap between those with and without disabilities has a profound impact on the economy and health of individuals with a disability, ranging from transportation to employment opportunities.

It is estimated that by increasing the employment rate of those with a disability by just 10% could add up to $16 billion to the Australian economy.

Jeff Bullen chats with Professor Alan Duncan from the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre at Curtin University about the current employment rate of those with disabilities and how increasing it would improve Australia’s economy.
