Farhot’s Fire

Bursting on to the scene in 2013 with his debut album of beats and rhymes, Kabul Fire Vol.1, producer and label- boss Farhad Samadzada AKA Farhot is as busy making tunes as he is releasing them on his Kabul Fire Records label.

Recently following-up Vol.1 with Kabul Fire Vol.2, Farhot draws on his Afghani heritage as a source of inspiration and also sounds (sampling films and documentaries from his country of birth), resulting in catchy, unique beats.

RTRFM’s Will Backler caught up with Farhot to hear all about his journey, including creative processes, idea and inspiration for his label, and of course all about his new album. Will started off by asking if Farhot had any memories of Afghanistan, the country his family fled when he was young…
