FITTER | HAPPIER: IDAHOBIT Day 2022

May 17 is IDAHOBIT Day – the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia.

This day is an annual celebration of sexual and gender diversities – and most importantly – raises awareness about the work still needed to combat discrimination and violence towards LGBTIQA+ people around the world.

Jane Armstrong, a Clinical Nurse Specialist and LGBTIQ+ Project Officer in the Mental Health Division from the Royal Perth Bentley Group joins RTRFM host Madeleine Lombardi.

Together they discuss the barriers LGBTIQA+ people face when navigating the health system, including how to overcome experienced identity discrimination, and how people can show their support each day.
