Fremantle’s Totally Lit Writer’s Festival is on this October!
Totally Lit isn’t your usual writer’s festival, where writers face off with adoring interviewers in front of fan-girls and fan-boys. Its more like its home town of Fremantle. Full of content but a little bit different, actually to tell the truth a whole lot different! If you’ve ever lived or worked in Freo for any length of time, you know what I’m talking about.
With over 60 events making up Totally Lit this year, there has to be something that attracts your attention.
This Saturday at the spooky Old Fremantle Prison, Totally Lit presents a day long program titled, Crime Time!!
On Saturday afternoon, three local crime writers Bret Christian, Michael Barker, and Glyn Greensmith come together to discuss Murder and the Media.
When they ask, does the media’s coverage of criminal events contribute to the escalation of crime?
Glyn Greensmith went On The Record with Jeff Bullen to discuss the event.
Greensmith released his book Mass Shootings, Media and Motive: How Changing Coverage Can Save Lives this year, available here.
