FRINGE WORLD 2022: “Grow Up!” An Exciting Ode To Generation Z’s Chasing The Sun

Ida, Teddy and Elsie are on a trip down South after recently graduating from High School. They studied, they worked, they got a little too drunk at their graduation, and have now planned the best summer yet.

“Grow Up!” is a coming-of-age dramedy that lifts the middle finger up at life’s easiest options, spanning across lousy jobs, early morning sunrise beach raves, including deep and meaningful sunsets that will make you laugh, cry and drive as fast as possible to the holidays.

On The Record presenter Tom Reynolds took the opportunity to catch up and chat with Director Atira Shack and Actress Maxi Ford, who were behind the production of the show and affiliated with the UWA Dramatic Society.

Together they sit down to discuss how they met to form the production, including the background origins that encompass the story, along with what it took to find a balance between the moods of Comedy & Drama.
