From Perth to Hollywood: Northbridge based animation company score an Oscars nod

Perth is off to Hollywood – well at least a couple of Perthians are.

David McDonnell along with his co creator Rick Grisby run Last Pixel, the Northbridge based animation and Visual Effects company.

They have both found themselves nominated for an Oscar for their work on live action short film Please Hold and found themselves scoring a ticket to The Dolby Theatre in LA as the 94th Academy Awards kick off.

RTRFMs Danielle Raffaele caught David last week for an interview, just as he was heading off to the airport.
