Genocide scholar Dr Melanie O’Brien on Israel’s genocide against Palestinians

Israel’s war against Palestine is decades long and today, according to the UN, Amnesty International and other experts, Israel’s war is being called a genocide against Palestinians.

It comes as the death toll in Gaza exceeds 60,000 people; following almost two years of devestation in the West Bank in what Israel asserts is in response to a Hamas-lead terrorist attack.

University of Western Australia international law professor and president of the International Association of Genocide Scholars Dr Melanie O’Brien spoke with Beth Mackiewicz about the history of genocide, its definition and how this is being enacted in Gaza.
