Greentea is Peng!

Following up a string of well-received singles and EPs, British star on the rise Greentea Peng has unleashed her stunning debut record, Man Made.

Rooted in hip-hop and soulful r&b, Man Made combines this with elements from jazz, dub, reggae, and neo-soul, accompanied by Peng’s powerful, psychedelic, personal lyrics that touch on the spiritual and political while remaining optimistic and chill.

RTRFM’s Music Director Will Backler jumped on a call with Peng to hear how she settled on her artist name (and for those Aussie’s who don’t know London slang, the definition of “Peng”), the meaning behind the album’s title, going out country to record the album, working with dubstep producer dons Mala and Swindle and a whole stack more.
