Hat tip to cricketer and long time sports administrator

Over the last few years, a diligent team of volunteers have worked to recognise all the women who have represented Western Australia in the sport of cricket since the 1930s.

In 1952, Kay Wilson was just 18 when she scored her WA Cap for a tournament in Melbourne. Today, Kay celebrates her ninety-third birthday.

Kay, now Kay Kemp, became a long time contributor to Hockey in WA and took time out to share some stories with RTRFM’s Danae Gibson earlier this week.

Kay explained that she is set to enjoy lunch with her family today.
