After 650 days imprisoned in Myanmar, Australian academic and economist Sean Turnell has been freed.

Sean had been working as an advisor for the disgraced civilian leader and former Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Aung Sun Suu Kyi. Following a military coup in February 21 Sean was one among thousands arrested during the brutal consolidation of military power.
