How is Global Warming changing the ecosystem of the Antarctic ocean and marine life?

Dr Karen Filbee Dexter, an avid researcher and lecturer from Western Australia School of Biological Sciences speaks to Fiona Bartholomaeus and shares her views and findings on the marine ecosystems of Antarctica.

In this interview Karen talks about the possible positive effects in the melting of sea ice. She says that because the ice in Antarctica is melting it is expanding the Antarctic ocean and letting sunlight into certain shallow parts of sea which is dramatically changing the ecosystem of the Antarctic ocean and marine life.

Karen expects too see more positive changes in marine ecosystems in the upcoming years.
