If You Need blends netball, Greek mythology and high school drama in debut Fringe season

It’s a tale as old as time, the boy who flew too close to the sun; except in 2021 the greek myth gets a modern, Australian makeover.

Enter If You Need, three words that any child who played netball throughout their school careers will understand.

As part of Fringe 2021, the show centres on 13-year-old Vicky Russ and her quest to shake off the unfortunate family legend while striving for top level netball fame.

Breakfast with Taylah caught up with writer Eliza Smith and cast member Jacob Sgouros ahead of their season.
