Jeffrey Lewis is Freewheeling across Australia

Jeffrey Lewis is often regarded as one of the pioneers of anti-folk, with a prolific musical career that started it’s life deep in lo-fi bedroom tapes in the 90’s and now spans over 25 years of solo releases and collaborations with similarly revered indie darlings like the Mouldy Peaches, Kimya Dawson and Diane Cluck.

Lewis returns to Australia for the first time in 15 years in anticipation of a brand new album called The Even More Freewheeling Jeffrey Lewis. He hopped on the phone mid-tour with Monday Out To Lunch’s Rhian Todhunter earlier in the week to discuss touring, returning to Australia, combining music with his comics, the creative process behind his new record, and his homage to Bob Dylan!

Jeffrey Lewis is performing this Saturday March 8th at the Fremantle Buffalo Club (tickets available here).
