Jonathan Ogilvie Talks Real-Life Punk Inspiration For Head South

Premiering in Perth on April 3, Head South is a New Zealand coming-of-age film set in the Christchurch post-punk scene of 1979. The film stars Australian actor Ed Oxenbould and singer-songwriter Benee in a nostalgic coming-of-age drama based on director Jonathan Ogilvie’s own teenage years.

Ogilvie joined Atikah Hurley to chat about the film and its inspirations on this episode of On The Record.

Head South is set to be screened at Luna Palace Cinemas in Leederville from Thursday, April 3.
