Last Chance Summit – COP26

This morning On the Record, Maddie speaks with Peter Newman the John Curtin distinguished professor from the Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute and a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

The Conference of the Parties (COP) that is currently under-way in Glasgow was described by Britain’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson as a last chance summit for a world facing the devastating effects of rapid climate change.

Peter and Maddie chat about what we can expect in the coming weeks across the summit, where Australia compares against other countries and why we should be stepping up our game as a country.
